A bit about me
In case you were wondering, you got it right! I do go by “John Mark.” I’m a Birmingham, Alabama native, but I work as a User Experience Designer for Wellstar Health Systems in Atlanta with a degree of the same title at Kent State University.
My work involves empathizing with users through research and producing designs as well as design systems, elevating experiences for everyday users in collaboration with a cross-functional, agile team.
My inspirations and interests
Family will always be first and foremost to me. Getting to be a father who takes care of his family is my primary job and my deepest joy.
When I'm not doing husband, dad, or design stuff, you'll likely catch me reading a good book, getting outside, trying something new, or even dusting off the ol' geetar!
Looking ahead
As I continue to commit myself to the craft of designing design useful, helpful, and scaleable user experiences, I hope to one day become a capable trainer and mentor for the next generation of product-thinkers.
