A bit about me
In case you were wondering, you got it right! I do go by “John Mark.” I’m a Birmingham, Alabama native, but I work as a User Experience Designer for Wellstar Health Systems in Atlanta with a degree of the same title from Kent State University.
My work involves empathizing with everyday users through research and the production of designs and design systems. I elevate the user experience in collaboration with a cross-functional, agile team.
My inspirations and interests
Family will always be first and foremost to me. Getting to be a father who takes care of his family is my primary job and my deepest joy.
When I'm not doing husband, dad, or design stuff, you'll likely catch me reading a good book, getting outside, trying something new, or even dusting off the ol' geetar!
Looking ahead
As I continue to commit myself to the craft of designing useful, helpful, and scaleable user experiences, I hope to one day become a capable trainer and mentor for the next generation of product-thinkers.
